Monika Szewczyk

Monika serves as the Outreach Specialist focusing on Skyway’s Downers Grove Program. In this role, Monika builds and maintains referral partnerships throughout Illinois to support providers and their clients navigating a higher level of care. She always says she’s a resource for “Skyway and beyond,” with a mission to help anyone needing behavioral health support and to connect them with the appropriate professional wherever they need it.

Monika is also passionate about bringing behavioral health professionals with different specialties and at different levels of care together to educate one another and grow as a community of support.Monika began working in the field as a Diet Tech, then transitioned to a Dietitian at a Residential Treatment Center supporting clients struggling with Eating Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.

Since then, she’s had experience working with and building an Intake and Utilization Review administrative team at the PHP and IOP levels of care. Prior to Skyway, she worked as a Clinical Outreach Specialist for an organization with a national presence and continues to bring enthusiasm for collaboration and forward-thinking clinical approaches and administrative processes into her current role.

In her spare time, you can find Monika doting on her adorable pup, Benny, exploring nature and enjoying the company of her family and friends.
