Prior to co-founding Skyway Behavioral Health, Laura Lange served as Director of a large behavioral health treatment center in Chicago, IL where she led the residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient Binge Eating Disorder programs.

Laura’s expertise extends to the treatment and clinical supervision of eating disorders, PTSD, complex trauma, and mood and anxiety disorders. Before opening Skyway, she had the privilege of owning and operating a successful private practice in the Chicago area.

Laura Lange has been featured on goodmorningamerica.com as an eating disorder expert and has given talks for up to 300 professionals on the treatment of eating disorders and loss of control eating pathology. She has spoken at conferences and events hosted by the National Association of Social Workers, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation (IAEDP), MaineStay Family Services, and Eating Recovery Foundation Conferences.

Laura Lange received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and went on to complete her MSW degree at Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in Child and Family Services and Mental Health. She completed her internship and mental health training with the Consult Liaison Psychiatry Team at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Laura knew from early on that her mission in life was to serve people and to help them heal. She has long been captivated and fascinated by the transformative power of healing through community. Laura has had the privilege of collaborating within communities at home and abroad in order to create systemic change, including working in the public health sector through the Peace Corps in rural Peru and with refugee and immigrant communities in the United States.

Laura believes it is our responsibility as humans to help each other thrive, be better, and heal; that there is great power in connection. Laura is fluent in Spanish and loves all things outdoors, including hiking and sitting by a campfire. She listens to dance music and indie rock and enjoys spicy food, especially chile rellenos. Her must-haves for self-care are lavender lotion, clean sheets, and strong coffee.
