SPRAVATO® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray used in conjunction with an oral antidepressant and is available exclusively at REMS-certified treatment centers like ours.
What Is SPRAVATO®?
SPRAVATO® is a prescription medication administered as a nasal spray under direct medical supervision. It’s designed for adults who have not responded to traditional antidepressant treatments or who are experiencing suicidal thoughts in the context of major depression.
Unlike oral antidepressants that can take weeks to work, SPRAVATO® can begin to show effects more rapidly for some individuals.
Please note: SPRAVATO® is not intended for use as an anesthetic or for at-home use. It must be administered at a certified treatment center under observation.

What to Expect
Before Treatment
If you and your provider determine that SPRAVATO® is right for you, we’ll guide you through a simple intake process. We’ll review your medical history, confirm insurance coverage, and answer any questions you may have.
During Treatment
SPRAVATO® is self-administered under medical supervision in one of our comfortable treatment rooms. Each session requires at least two hours of observation as our staff monitors for side effects such as sedation, dissociation, or changes in blood pressure or breathing. You’ll need someone to drive you home after each session.
After Treatment
You should not drive or operate machinery until the next day, following a full night of restful sleep. Our team will schedule your next session and provide guidance on what to expect as you continue treatment.

Safety and Side Effects
SPRAVATO® can cause side effects such as sedation, dizziness, nausea, dissociation, and increased blood pressure. Because of these effects, the treatment must be administered in a clinical setting under observation.
